Christine “Kix” Mwaturura
Kix is a producer, writer and radio DJ based in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia. She brings contemporary African music to Melbourne's airwaves every Friday night on the Afro Turn Up aired on PBS 106.7 FM.
Kix has guest produced and co-hosted for the Peabody award-winning radio documentary series, Afropop Worldwide. From 2015 - 2017, she also co-hosted and co-produced the SOS in Oz podcast with her sister. Previously, she wrote for Madame Noire, a leading American online magazine for Black women.
In recognition of her audio storytelling talent, Kix was named the 2022 Jesse Cox Audio Fellow.
